Shirley LaCourse

Shirley LaCourse is an enrolled member of the Oglala Lakota Nation, and is also of Yakama, Umatilla and Oneida descent.  Shirley has a B.S. in Business and Management from the University of Phoenix.  She has held numerous positions in government, private and non-profit organizations managing a variety of programs spanning education, government, health care, and workforce development.  Shirley currently manages the State of New Mexico’s reemployment program under ARRA.  Shirley served as the Deputy Director of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society for three years.  She is an ardent supporter of organic farming, victory gardens, and the protection of tradition crops.
